The Annual Easter Bake-off took place on Saturday 31 March 2018.
Cathy Chappell took first place again this year with her spectacular ‘Souffra’. This cake disappeared very quickly. In second place was Evelyne LeCourt who presented a stunning Fruit, Cream and Easter Coconut Cake and third prize went to Wendy Doyle and her beautiful Pistachio Slice. We also have two special mentions: Rosemary Thomkinson for her Lemon Cake and Jeanette Stead for her Chocolate Cake. Thank you to Tim Wilkinson, Club Vice-President for organising the Bake-off and to Barbara Frankland, Junee MacDonald and Carla Wharepouri for tasting, testing and judging the entries.
